What Drives the High Yields of Edible Mushroom Cultivation

Factory production is the development trend of the edible fungi industry. In recent years, more and more varieties of edible fungi have been produced in factories, which has not only improved production efficiency, but also greatly improved output and quality.
Some mushroom farmers reported that factory production has greatly increased the production of king oyster mushrooms. In the past, one mushroom stick produced only three or four taels, but now factory production allows the average yield of one mushroom stick to reach one catty and three taels. The factory's intelligent temperature and humidity control system not only shortens the growth cycle of king oyster mushrooms, but also enables mushroom production throughout the year. From the bottling, drilling, sterilization and shipment of finished products of edible fungi culture media, almost all aspects of edible fungi factoryization have been automated and intelligent, and labor efficiency has been significantly improved. Compared with the general greenhouse cultivation method, the efficiency of factory production of edible fungi is 30-80 times higher. On average, one acre of land has an output value of 2.6 million yuan a year, which is equivalent to fifty or sixty times that of traditional cultivation.
