Cultivation Techniques of Stropharia sphaerocarpa under Forest

Stropharia lobata is also called red matsutake and brown matsutake. It is one of the main edible mushrooms cultivated in European and American countries, and one of the ten famous mushrooms jointly recommended. The cultivation of Stropharia sphaerocarpa under the bamboo forest mainly uses the cool and humid microclimate and scattered light under the bamboo forest. The management cost is lower than that of the field cultivation, and the nutritional quality is excellent. It has the color and luster of wild edible fungi, and its polysaccharide content is relatively high. Can reduce the risk of heavy metals exceeding the standard. The general yield of Stropharia sphaerocarpa cultivated under bamboo forests is about 3000 jin, and the income per mu can be about 24,000 yuan. The economic benefits are very significant.

Woodland selection
Forest land is mainly selected for convenient transportation, sufficient water source, good drainage, fertile soil, small slope, generally less than 25 degrees, and canopy closure generally at 0.7. It is best to disinfect the soil with lime before planting.

Cultivation substrate preparation
Stropharia stropharia generally uses bamboo shavings as a substrate. Fresh bamboo shavings per acre of woodland requires 4 tons. Fermentation requires 4-6% rapeseed cake or wheat bran. The fermentation time is generally selected in August each year. Put the ingredients in the bamboo shavings, pour it thoroughly, cover it with a film, and seal it. It can be used for field planting for about 3 weeks.

Planting time
The planting time of Stropharia lobata is generally from early September to mid-November.

Planting method
First dig a trench, generally 30 cm wide and 15 cm deep, ditch along the contour line, then put the fermented material in the trench, about 25-30 cm thick, and then divide the fungus into 16 small parts, and divide the bamboo chips. Dig a depth of 10 cm in the middle of the substrate, and evenly sow the strains on it. Generally, 1 strain, which is 16 small pieces, is placed in a length of 1 meter, and then close the material. After closing, cover with soil 4-5 cm, and then pour Permeable, the amount of strains per acre is about 500 catties, and we generally use 500 strains of about 1 catty.

Growth period management
After planting, the pre-management is about 40 to 45 days. Watering every 3 to 5 days to keep the topsoil moist. If there is a long-term drought, watering should be done every 10 days. The mushrooms will grow in about 45 days. Begin to see small mushrooms.

Timely harvest
If you see small mushrooms, you need to water them once a day, morning and evening. The mushrooms are harvested in the morning and evening, usually twice. If the temperature is high after mid-April in spring, it will take one day. Picking three times, the standard for picking mushrooms is usually when the length of the mushroom is about 5 cm, and it is relatively short and fat. The shape of the mushroom is like a bell-shaped lid without unfolding. After harvesting, look at the reverse side. It is white. If the mushroom is picked late, the reverse side will be gray, the spore powder has grown, and the taste will be a bit bitter, so harvest it in time.

Preservation and drying
In order that the mushrooms can be stored in a refrigerator at a low temperature of 0-2℃ for a longer time, we generally adopt the method of pulling, so that the mushrooms stepped on have no wounds and can be kept for about 10 days in a sealed environment. If the mushrooms are too late to sell, you can use drying. Wash the mushrooms before drying, then cut each mushroom in half and place it in an oven at about 60°C. It can be dried in about 4-5 hours.
